Lots of exciting things happen in the Triangle, including the North Carolina State Fair in October.  It has everything you expect in a great state fair -- a world-class midway as well as prize-winning goats and chickens, quilts and pies, vegetables and crafts.  And the food! My favorite is the chocolate-covered bacon -- hey, don't knock it till you've tried it  : )
